Many of you have probably already tried doing a cell number trace the wrong way, I am right? You tried anywho.com and whitepages.com, or a similar web site. They didn’t have what you were looking for. I know. Bummer.
The reason the number you were looking to trace wasn’t inside is because those web sites are only filled with public domain land line numbers and business numbers, NOT cell phone numbers.
Cell phone number data and personal information are protected by their respective companies. These companies don’t want their customers information to be free and easily accessible, otherwise we’d all be getting spam phone calls left and right!
So, what to do then? Well, I’ll let you in on a little secret — there are a handful of select web sites (real legitimate sites, not spam sites) that will sell you lot of valuable information about a cell phone number’s owner! Yep. Pretty sweet.

Here’s the deal though, there are a lot of spam sites out there that are unsecured, full of pop-ups, spammy offers, etc. They’re looking to rip us off, sell us something else, perhaps even steal our personal data.
But, don’t despair I’m going to give you two simple rules to follow which ensure that you’ve landed on one of the few legitimate sites. Rule number one, if it says it’s going to be FREE — hit the back button. You’re not a sucker, you know the rules now.
And two, make sure that the site you find can be tested…in other words we should be able to plug in a cell number and run a preliminary search to see if the data we’re looking for is inside. Only the top sites have this feature working at lightening fast speed, you’ll be able to tell that you’ve found a quality site or not.
Lastly, they’re going to try and “up sell” you on a 12 month membership, which I actually did get (only a couple of bucks more) AND surprisingly I find it worth every penny, use it all the time. Good luck with your cell phone number trace…
